Wrong-Way Drunk Driver Kills 19yo & Dog on North Loop 820 in NRH
On the early morning of Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2019, a 17-year-old male was killed after being struck by a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on North Loop 820. The wrong-way vehicle struck three other vehicles near Holiday Lane. The 17-year-old male was driving one of the vehicles the wrong-way driver struck and was taken to a hospital but died from his injuries.
Police report that the wrong-way driver, a 29-year-old female, was intoxicated at the time of the crash. She has been charged with a second-degree felony of Intoxication Manslaughter.
