Head-on Crash Fatality Serious Injuries in Wise County
On December 21, 2019, a 20-year-old male SUV driver lost control on a wet road while traveling south on FM 730. The SUV was hit on the passenger side by a pickup truck as it spun out. The driver of the SUV was ejected, sustaining serious injuries and taken to a hospital. A passenger in that SUV, a 47-year-old female, was killed at the scene. A 14-year-old passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and passenger of the pickup truck sustained critical injuries. Two children were also taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.
Preliminary reports suggest speed on the wet road was a factor in this serious crash.
