Fiery Crash After 19yo Teenager Runs Red Light in Dallas By Rocky Walton on May 21, 2020

On May 18, 2020, a 19 year old driver was speeding and ran a red light, causing a major collision between their car and a pickup. The crash occurred at Lake June and Holcomb Roads in Dallas. The truck had a family inside which included a 1 year old. The crash caused the truck to catch fire but before the flames could get overwhelming, witnesses pulled the mother, father, and baby from the truck. The father and mother were taken to a nearby hospital for injuries and the 1 year old was taken to a children’s hospital but did not have injuries. The 19 year old driver of the car sustained extensive burns and was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The young family should file a liability claim against the defendant driver's insurance ASAP. They should also look at their own policy to see if they have underinsured motorist coverage, personal injury protection coverage and/or medical payments coverage. Our office is available for free consultations.
