Teenager Killed, Another Injured in Crash
On the night of June 8, 2020, two teenagers were traveling south on John Jones as they were hit by a northbound car turning onto Tarpon Street in Burleson. The car with the teenagers hit a tree as a result of the crash and split their car in half. The passenger, a 16-year-old male, died at the scene. The teenage driver was taken to a hospital with injuries. The driver of the other car was not injured. It appears the uninjured driver failed to yield right of way when turning into a private drive.
