Intoxicated Wrong-Way Driver Seriously Injures Firefighter By Rocky Walton on December 07, 2020

On the early morning of December 6, 2020, a 30-year-old Irving firefighter was struck by a vehicle on Highway 183 while working an earlier crash scene. The freeway was shut down due to the first crash when a 23-year-old intoxicated wrong-way driver struck the firefighter. The firefighter sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital. The intoxicated driver was arrested and charged with intoxication assault. We hope the first responder has a speedy recovery and we thank them for their service as a first responder. We are happy to see that the drunk was arrested and charged with intoxication assault. Our office is available for a free consultation regarding this matter. We are proud to represent first responders who work diligently at keeping our community safe.
