Driver Killed After Failing to Stop at Stop Sign - Collin County, TX By Rocky Walton on January 14, 2021

On the night of January 13, 2021, a small vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of County Road 825 and State Highway 78 in Collin County and collided with an 18-wheeler who had the right of way. The impact of the collision pushed the vehicle into a ditch and the driver was ejected as he was not wearing a seatbelt. Witnesses tried to save his life before first responders arrived to help but the man succumbed to the severe injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.
