Two Women And Dog Killed by Intoxicated Wrong-Way Driver - Irving, TX
On the very early morning of March 5, 2021, a 23-year-old woman and 21-year-old woman along with their dog lost their lives in a crash involving an intoxicated 23-year-old woman driving the wrong way on State Highway 161 at the interchange for Highway 183 in Irving. The wrong-way driver was driving north in the southbound lanes on Highway 161 when she crashed into another vehicle head-on, killing two of the passengers. The 21-year-old male driver of the other vehicle sustained critical injuries in the crash. The intoxicated driver sustained seirous injuries and is expected to be charged with two counts of Intoxication Manslaughter.
