Drunk Driver Kills Child - Grand Prairie, TX By Rocky Walton on May 11, 2021

On the late night of May 10, 2021, a 31-year-old male driver was intoxicated while operating his vehicle along I-30 in Grand Prairie. He stopped his vehicle near Belt Line Road after fleeing the scene of a crash nearby. Another vehicle rear-ended his vehicle as he stopped on the highway. The driver of that vehicle sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hosptial. Two children in the same vehicle were taken to a children's hospital after sustaining serious injuries. Unfortunately, one of the children succumbed to their injuries and died. The children were properly restrained in the car at the time of the crash. The driver of the vehicle that stopped was arrested and charged with Intoxication Manslaughter and Intoxication Assault.
