Amber Alert Child Injured, Suspect Killed, in Crash - Hill County TX
On the morning of September 25, 2021, the subject of an amber alert, 8-year-old Jessi Lowrey, was injured in a head-on collision with another vehicle along Highway 171 and County Road 302 in Hill County following a police chase. The suspect, 34-year-old Randall Thurman, died in the crash at the scene. Preliminary reports say it is believed that he purposely veered into oncoming traffic to cause the crash. The driver of the vehicle struck was also killed in the collision. The 8-year-old child was airlifted to Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth.
